Solar Eclipse to be happening on 8 April 2024 | Where it will happen date and time

The first solar eclipse of 2024 will take place on April 8, Monday, in conjunction with Chaitra Amavasya. This year, April 8th is Chaitra Amavasya. It begins at 03:21 AM and ends at 11:50 PM. The following day, the Chaitra Navratri starts at 09:12 PM and ends at 01:25 AM1.

Twelve hours prior to the eclipse and ending when it passes will be the Sutak period. The moon totally obscures the sun during a total solar eclipse, casting a shadow on Earth known as the "path of totality." If the weather permits, those who are inside this path, which is a small strip that traverses the surface, will be able to see the total solar eclipse.
The eclipse path is predicted to be 115 on April 8, 2024.

It is not common for a total solar eclipse to occur in one place on Earth. The eclipse will cross Canada, the United States, and Mexico on its journey across North America. Sadly, India will not be able to witness this specific eclipse. Scientists believe that this kind of eclipse is incredibly uncommon.
The Pacific coast of Mexico will see its first totality at approximately 11:07 AM PDT.

Then, as the line of totality moves northeast, it will cross sections of Canada as well as states including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. The total eclipse, if you're lucky enough to be in its path, will last between three and four minutes. At 4 minutes and 27 seconds, the longest duration \

It will happen in the vicinity of Torreon, Mexico1.
Always remember to wear appropriate eye protection when gazing directly into the sun. You will require eclipse glasses that are specifically made for viewing the event safely.
